When the metal has cooled down, it is put through a rolling mill to create a flat, thin piece of silver.
The smiths take the thin sheet of silver and cut it to create bezels for gem stones. The sheets can also be shaped in to beads, or whatever shapes they wish to create. The fine wire that is used so much is made by pulling the silver through smaller and smaller holes in a hand pulled machine. The granulations are created by cutting the wire, and firing it to create a tiny ball.

Some factories are starting to use casting machines to speed up the process for larger production. By casting, they can guarantee each piece looks the same.
